The Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA) is the authority, educator and promoter of the housing and building industry serving nearly 800 members. Since 1953, GOBA has served the construction industry in Seminole, Orange and Osceola Counties including its cities.

Our purpose is to represent and promote the building industry, encourage higher standard practices through education, monitor and take a proactive role in governmental and regulatory activities that impact the construction industry within Greater Orlando, as well as at the State and National levels.

Our intention is to foster an environment within our association and within our neighborhoods to create opportunities for building relationships, businesses and communities while balancing economic, social and environmental needs of our members and the communities we serve.

Position Overview
GOBA is seeking a strategic and trusted Finance Director to strengthen financial stewardship, operational excellence, and team support across the Association. This leadership role is critical to ensuring fiscal responsibility, operational excellence, and strong internal support for GOBA’s team, members, and programs. The role of Finance Director is an at will, exempt position reporting to the GOBA CEO. 

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Compliance
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with 501(c)(3) nonprofit accounting standards and best practices
• Prepare monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and board-level financial reports
• Manage audits, payroll tax filings, and relationships with external financial institutions
Operations & Staff Administration
• Oversee staff records, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR compliance
• Support onboarding, employee documentation, and internal policy implementation
Member Services Support
• Oversee administrative and financial aspects of membership services, and processing - dues management
• Support internal teams with events, sponsorships, and programs (financial and operational)
Leadership & Team Support
• Serve as a collaborative partner to GOBA team members, providing guidance and operational support
• Work closely with the CEO, and Board of Directors serving as the staff liaison to the Finance Committee 

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, or minimum of 5 years’ related experience in financial management, in 
a nonprofit or association management (accounting, budgeting & compliance)
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Pro
• Experience overseeing payroll, benefits, and staff records
• High level of integrity, discretion, collaboration and professionalism
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills for a fast-paced, mission driven organization

Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience
• Comprehensive benefits package (health, paid time off, holidays, and additional benefits)
Salary Range and How to Apply
$65,000 - $80,000, plus benefits.
