GOBA Wins National Award for Best Council Development Program

 “Custom Home & Remodeling Council Programs”

The Greater Orlando Builders Association has been recognized for its outstanding Custom Homes & Remodeling Council Programs with a 2025 Association Excellence Award from the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

The Custom Homes & Remodeling Council (CHRC) provides specialized education, resources, and networking for professionals in the custom building and remodeling industry. Throughout the year, members participated in a diverse lineup of hands-on educational experiences designed to showcase innovation, craftsmanship, and emerging building practices. Signature programs included the "Boots" series, which offered an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the National Association of Home Builders' New American Home, built by Alair Homes. Members followed the project from start to finish through four phases: Muddy Boots, Dusty Boots, Clean Boots, and No Boots tours. Additional programs featured live porcelain and pool installation demonstrations, as well as exclusive tours of steel and glass manufacturing facilities, giving members firsthand insight into the products, processes, and partnerships that drive today's residential construction industry.

The Association Excellence Awards are an annual program designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of state and local home builders’ associations and executive officers in the field of association management. EOC membership is comprised of the staff executives who direct more than 650 NAHB-affiliated state and local home builders’ associations representing more than 140,000 home builders in communities across the United States.

The winning entries will be featured on the NAHB website, so that other executive officers and associations across the country can access and learn from them to provide better service to their own members and community.
